Look Good...Feel Better

A Free American Cancer Society Program Serving Cancer Patients

Cancer radiation and chemotherapy can rob patients of their sense and appearance of vitality. In partnership with local healthcare providers in Lake County, the American Cancer Society offers free Look Good...Feel Better (LGFB) classes to female cancer patients who want to address the often-difficult physical and emotional side effects of treatment.

Look Good...Feel Better is a free program that teaches beauty techniques to women in active cancer treatment to help them combat the appearance-related side effects of treatment.

These small group sessions are lead by American Cancer Society trained beauty professionals, who will provide participants with a practical, hands-on experience. Women will learn about makeup, skincare, nail care, and ways to deal with hair loss such as with wigs, turbans, and scarves. Each woman who registers in advance for the program will receive a free makeup kit to use during and after the workshop.

Look Good...Feel Better offers:

• A supportive environment for participants
• Information on coping with hair loss, including eyebrows and eyelashes
• Skin care and make-up techniques
• Free make-up kit
